Welcome to our site.  Our goal is to provide useful suggestions that help the environment without negative side-effects.

We believe that both political parties have the wrong attitude.  Republicans want to let businesses polute, as long as they can find someone who polutes little.  That is like an alcoholic finding someone who does not drink and paying to drink that person's quantity of alcohol. 

The Democrats act like they are the champions for the environment and all of their environmental ideas are great.  Ideas such as getting rid of styrofoam containers from the fast food restaurants, even though styrofoam takes much less energy to produce and neither paper nor styrofoam biodegrade in a landfill.

Let's push for "single trash can" recycling.  I do not know about you, but it does not make sense to send out huge diesel belching trucks to pick up a small percentage of recyclable materials from, at most, 30% of the residents.

What can I do to help the enviroment?

Take simple steps to reduce the use of water and reduce the amount of trash sent to the landfill.  Also beware of ideas that claim to be enviromentally friendly, but do not improve the enviroment.

• Replace your toilet, rather than putting bricks or other devices to take up space in the toilet tank.  Old toilets are designed to use as much as 5 gallons of water.  If deprived of water it simply will not flush right.  (cite )

What about Global Warming?

Click here  to read about a conflict between an "expert" from the Weather Channel calling to revoke certification from any meteorologist who does not support the theory that global warming is caused by man.  It is this kind of science that draws conclusions and tries to justify the conclusions, rather than following the facts.

What kind of facts?

• CO2 is not the largest contributor to global warming.  Methane has a much larger contribution to global warming.  According to the U.N. cows are a greater threat to the environment than cars (cite)
• Global Warming IS happening...however, the cause is under debate
• According to NASA Mars has also been experiencing global warming at the same rate as the Earth (cite)
• Indications are Jupiter is also suffering from global warming (cite)
• Evidence points to global warming being caused by the Sun (cite)
• President Bush has been beat up in the press and by the enviromental movement for stating "I have said consistently that global warming is a serious problem. There's debate over whether it's man-made or naturally caused...," (cite, 2)
